This a beautifully cooling and soothing mask. This is due to the 2 types of clay and the calamine in it. I remember calamine lotion from when i was a kid, and i had chickenpox, my mother applied the pink calamine lotion to my itchy areas, and it soothed them.Clay masks are my favourite to be honest, and this one also contains moisturizing coconut oil, so it’s not too drying. Clay masks can draw out moisture, and hence why they’re good for oily skins.I don’t have dry skin, mine is normal, so i felt fine to give it a go. It didn’t cause a reaction, but i could feel tingling, so i felt like it was doing something. It comes in a box, with a little spatula to scoop it out, so you don’t introduce bacteria to the contents of the jar with your fingers.I’m not keen on masks where you don’t feel an effect. It also has tea tree in it, which is a great healing agent, for blemishes, i often use tea tree oil neat on pustules, or as an antiseptic agent in it’s own right, so i do like the list of ingredients, even if i don’t recognize some of them.My skin felt soft, smooth, and clean after using it. It didn’t go red or anything, so i was pleased with the result, and I’ll use it again.
